Mystique, Dangerous Divas series 2

There is a lot of history for me in this image. I started reading X-Men comics in the late 80s right before the Fall of the Mutants. It was where I first saw this character. There were ads in comics back then for the impending release of the crossover where a poster of the X-Men had "Die Mutie" spray painted in red over it...and I'd seen ads for other comics where characters were against brick walls with spotlights on them making it look as if they'd been caught off guard or caught doing something bad or wrong....I don't like drawing the obvious...so I knew I didn't want to draw her morphing into someone else - AND I had recently done that with her on another Marvel project for another company earlier this year...I remember being much younger and people would vandalize things with "so and so was here" so rather than draw graffiti on the wall that was too distracting or busy I drew what was originally intended to say "Rhi was here" but because of the crop it looks more like "I was here"....interestingly enough, with the last 'e' being covered it instead reads " I was her"....which for this character makes a LOT of sense if you think about it
